Hamburg, 17 November 2010 – Following a resolution by the German federal government the proportion of biofuel in conventional fuel will increase from 1 January 2011. Instead of five per cent, fuel is set to contain ten per cent bioethanol.1 With a new list of special destinations, NAVIGON is helping drivers to drive more environmentally friendly. “NAVIGON LPG and biodiesel filling stations” displays 18,000 corresponding POIs in 20 European countries.2 “With this service, drivers will always have plenty of low-emission fuel in their tanks,” says Jörn Watzke, vice-president of Product Line Management at NAVIGON. Since LPG vehicles have a relatively limited range, it is particularly important that their owners know where to find the nearest fuel pump. With the filling station guide NAVIGON is helping drivers to be environmentally aware and is contributing to the proliferation of alternative propulsion technologies.
