“Tuesday Tips” show how it’s done – NAVIGON releases a weekly series on Facebook
Every Tuesday NAVIGON provides a tip for users on its Facebook fan page. In the course of the year this advice will also be accessible in the customer service area of the NAVIGON home page.
Hamburg, 19 January 2011 – NAVIGON is offering its customers a new source of online help: every Tuesday a “NAVIGON Tuesday Tip” appears on www.navigon.com/facebook. Using screenshots, the navigation experts explain step by step how to use certain features. Advice already published demonstrates, for instance, how users can set their own interim des-tinationsor how they can use the Reality View feature, which is available for all platforms, and the Reality Scanner for Android phones. When users click on a tip on the NAVIGON Facebook wall, they are redirected to the company´s photo stream at flickr, where all screenshots are also published. In addition, advice already published will also be accessible in a special “Tips and Tricks” area on the NAVIGON home page until mid-2011. This means that they can be accessed at all times via various online platforms and are available to a large user group. “With the Tuesday Tips we want to give our customers useful advice on the NAVIGON home page in addition to the user manuals. Furthermore, we are delighted when users post their own per-sonal tips and share them with other users,” says Sven Klenner, Vice President of Marketing & Communications at NAVIGON.
NAVIGON fans have their say
The tips are related to numerous subjects around NAVIGON – such as PNDs, navigation apps for iPhone and Android, and the use of the software platform NAVIGON Fresh. The almost 7,000 registered NAVIGON fans on Facebook can post comments on the advice and also rate it. “We are pleased to be able to make it even easier to use our products by giving our users additional operating instructions,” says Sven Klenner. “At the same time, by using the commentary feature they can also let us know if they have any questions or requests related to future tips and tricks. We look forward to their feedback.”
