Flow and large display: 72 series models from NAVIGON in shops
NAVIGON is now launching the first models of the 72 series in shops. They work with NAVIGON Flow navigation software, providing easier operation for users. The generous five-inch display facilitates a better overview. Thanks to the various range of features, everyone will quickly find the right navigation device in this product series.
Hamburg, 18 October 2011 – The first devices of the NAVIGON 72 series, which were presented at IFA, are now available in shops. The series comprises four devices, each with a five-inch display: the navigators NAVIGON 72 Easy, NAVIGON 72 Plus and NAVIGON 72 Premium will be available in October. The NAVIGON 72 Plus Live will follow in November.
Intuitive operation on a five-inch display
All four devices in the 72 series feature the newly developed NAVIGON Flow navigation software, which means that user guidance is more intuitive than ever. For instance, users can capture map extracts faster. Larger buttons also make operation easier, providing extra safety. “When designing NAVIGON Flow we took into consideration the requirements of our customers, who asked for clearer menu guidance,” says Jörn Watzke, Executive Vice President of Product Line Management at NAVIGON.
From Lane Assistant to NAVTEQ Traffic – the versatile 72 series
The NAVIGON 72 Easy offers all the basic features – from the “Active Lane Assistant” to map material for 20 European countries. With the NAVIGON 72 Plus, users can also find their way to destinations in 44 countries and can take advantage of “Text-to-Speech”, which provides spoken information on distances, street names and traffic reports. The NAVIGON 72 Premium has four further features, including “NAVTEQ Traffic”, which provides more up-to-date and comprehensive traffic reports compared to other TMC services.
NAVIGON 72 Plus Live with maps for 44 countries
The NAVIGON 72 Plus Live provides information in real time. With it, users can take advantage of the two most popular NAVIGON Live Services free of charge for three months: “Traffic Live” gives the navigation device precise and up-to-date traffic reports using live data transmission, while “Google Local Search” finds interesting destinations, such as restaurants or points of interest. The two Live subscriptions can be extended via NAVIGON Fresh. Additional Live Services can be added: With “Mobile Safety Camera Live“, „Clever Parking Live“, “Weather Live“, “Events Live“ and “Fuel Live“ the Live Package can be extended to 7 real time services.

The NAVIGON 72 Easy costs €159, the NAVIGON 72 Plus €199. The NAVIGON 72 Premium is available for €229. Also for €199, the NAVIGON 72 Plus Live will be in shops in November.
