NAVIGON MobileNavigator Android: update for regional versions now available

IFA2010_NA_Android_RealityScannerExclusive news for Android users – the latest update for NAVIGON MobileNavigator is now available for download for the regional versions in the Android Market. This update brings with it a feature that no other operating system has been able to offer until now: Reality Scanner – a new service for pedestrian navigation. This locates POIs in the area with the help of the smartphone’s camera and the GPS receiver. Superimposed on the camera images in the display are the name, symbol and distance of the POI. If the user clicks on a POI symbol, a window offering additional information will open. If they wish, they can then be directed to the selected destination. Other new features include Text-to-Speech and Traffic Live. The full version for new customers is available as the regional version for 59.95 euros, and as the European version (EU 40) for 89.95 euros. Both can be purchased via Google Checkout. For a period of two weeks, the regional version is now available at the attractive introductory price of 39.95 euros.
But that’s not all: NAVIGON also has a new offer for all users of Android smartphones from the providers HTC, LG, Samsung and Sony Ericsson with Telekom contracts: the customisable navigation software NAVIGON select is also now available for the Telekom Edition Android. Customers with a mobile contract with Telekom Deutschland can now receive the standard version of NAVIGON select free of charge. Various packages can be added via In App Purchase.
