NAVIGON Fresh launches beta version for Mac

NAVIGON_fresh_logo_skyline_positive_websiteHamburg, 19th January 2010 - Good news for Mac users: NAVIGON is launching a version of the NAVIGON Fresh service software that is compatible with the Apple operating system at the start of 2010. It is possible to test the program in its beta version, which can be downloaded from the NAVIGON website free of charge now at www.navigon.com/freshbeta.

NAVIGON Fresh is the service portal that NAVIGON customers use to keep their navigation devices up to date. Using this program, they can easily obtain new maps and services, and organise content. Maps can be updated, features can be added and further information, such as handbooks, can all be downloaded via Fresh, for example. To do this, users simply install the software on their computer and connect it to their navigation device.

The new NAVIGON Fresh has several new services in addition to the tried and tested functions – including four additional languages, an integrated download manager and the option of managing KML files (files for displaying and saving geographical elements on maps) on the navigation system. NAVIGON is giving customers with a Mac (Mac OS X 10.5 and higher) a chance to try out the Fresh update and all its features in full and to give feedback on them in advance with the beta version. In this trial version, it´s unfortunately not possible to redeem the 80% Fresh-Maps voucher. The final version of the software is scheduled to be released in the first quarter 2010.
