Since software version 2.0 (Select and Premium) you are able to buy FreshMaps XL via In-App Purchase. With this service you’ll receive map updates three times per year for a period of at least two years for a single fee. In addition, FreshMaps XL also upgrades regional versions, such as D-A-CH or Italy, to the full European map.
Please note that an update to software version 2.0 iOS 4.3 is necessary. Therefore, iPhone 3G devices are not supported.
