The message "Read file failed" appears. What does it mean?

This message can appear on devices running with MobileNavigator 6. The navigation system was switched off while the navigation was active. In some cases it is possible that the software might not be able to access the navigation map when the device is switched on again. If this happens the error message "Read file failed" is displayed.

    1.  Perform a softreset.

    2. If the softreset does not help, perform a hardreset. If necessary,
        you should then restart the navigation software.

    3. Please contact the service department of the manufacturer of
        your navigation device or the NAVIGON service center if the
        problem persists.

Please note: Take care not to switch off the navigation system if the navigation is currently active. If necessary, exit the navigation before switching off the device.
